THE FINAL CALL OF MY WEB MARKETING CLASS

I consider this class is excellent class for anyone. The class is great not only for web developers, but also for those who do business online. Today, business means online store. Whether you sell your products or promote yourself, or just deliver the message out there, the new kind of marketing skills is required. Old school marketing is out. Yet principally, we still adopt old school marketing strategies; however, we must adopt the brand new “Web Marketing.” I, as a web designer, we must make sure to design the best possible website for clients to bring a great amount of money into his/her business. Great amount of money I am talking about here is not just 6 digits profit, I mean, bigger like over million dollar profit. The web marketing class is definitely taught us the core of online marketing. What we need to do to be successful online. It really doesn’t matter if you are a web designer or a business owner who markets his business online, the class offers both ends. Critiques that I have received during the 11-week class, every one of them are worth remembering.

My challenge in this class was to think of attractive and enticing headlines and sub-headlines; I have been always weak about it and need to work on it to be better at. Headlines and sub-headlines are very important to capture online visitors. Within a nick of time, we must succeed to get their attention to the website they are visiting. That is the initial goal.

Yes, of course I would like to receive “A” for this class. I put great amount of time in it. But realistically my own grade evaluation is A, because of uncompleted website. Over the 11 weeks, I have struggled to make things right, especially MySpace. I have to redo projects many times, and finally got to the point I feel like I caught up. Though I couldn’t deliver the result I wanted for the class. I didn’t neglect to learn and do all assignments. I truly valued everything I have learned this class. “If students who refuse to take Mr. Pinto’s class, they are missing out a million dollar opportunity in future. “

JIMMY D. BROWN - MASTERING E-MAIL MARKETING

The most important thing in online marketing is, perhaps, to get e-mail address from potential prospects that visit your site. You don’t need their names. You only need their e-mail address for your data. “It is impossible to be successful online without some form of marketing via-email.” You need a DEEP foundation of e-mail marketing.” D-E-E-P means: D – “Diverse”, E – “Effective”, E – “Education”, P – “Proactive”. Email marketing is about stating, growing, nurturing, and profiting from a wide variety of lists and sublists that all work from building your DEEP foundation and your business online.

When you send out any kind of mailing to prospects or customers, never put them onto the list without their permission. This is very important. If you do this is considered as a spam and will burn a relationship with them quickly. A large list isn’t as important as quality, consider the quality rather than quantity. Building the foundation takes time but make sure to take a time and do it right. Build a high-quality list will earn you a nice profit in the future.

Building the list of people (contacts) are not necessarily only to collect prospects. Make a targeted list will also help building the foundation of your business. One of example of making a targeted list is: Find a “partners” for your business is another vital method of doing the online marketing. This is called “Joint Ventures” partnership. This method will help build each others business and you get to tap into partners’ resources and their sphere of influence.

Another vital targeted list is a list of people who respond to your bonus offer. Giving away some kind of free bonus offer build a new sublist. The idea with this type of list is to prospects to sign up by offering bonuses.

As you can see the building the foundation like making a list or sublist is very vital to your online marketing. Doing this right will eventually leads you to future profit into your business.

IDENTIFY PATH OF FINAL PROJECT

When web visitors visit your web site, your job is to create some drivers and some psychological tactics to get people to either give a shy “yes” in the form of an opt-in request for more information, or to go ahead and just order from the first-time. Making the web visitors get involved in your web site is important. When visitors visit the site, try to bait them with very exciting web contents. Let them get involved by some kind of interactivity through your site and eventually sign up their Email to get more information from you. Once they do, you and visitors are connected together on more personal level. This allows you to communicate the visitors by sending the further information via email. So let’s just say you get their email address, now you have a chance to communicate with visitors more closely.
Once they do, you can send them information about news with extra (In this case fascinating offer like win movie ticket or go to restaurant for free). Visitors open up your email and further click the button to go to next web page whey they find the news is interesting. Then again, you will give them another interactivity which allows them to go another web page by clicking the button. The final page opens up and asks more questions to visitors. This is more than just an initial email addresses. By answering the question, they are giving us their further information like their gender, age group, their zip code, their interests and so forth. Each time visitors answers, you are collecting the demographic information that is the great statistic for your business to narrow down when or who to target specific people.

What grade I deserve?

In past five weeks, I have learned so much about Web marketing in this class. Reading through the chapters from the book and incorporate those ideas into my own practice (in this case, building the effective web site) was a challenging than I thought it would be. I got lost in Myspace as I signed up for groups instead of personal. That threw me off. I definitely need to find out more about myspace layout and learned to customized it so that it would stands out. My movie obsession is not completely finished as I have to fix the collapsed sites and debugging the code issues because of the movie topic I chose is more requires the visual interest and wanted to design some interactions. I have challenged in programming a lot this time. So it took me some time and seeking the answer from fellow designers. Indeed I put some time in it. I think the site needs more strong headlines and sub headlines to seduce the visitors to stay at my site and make them sign up for emails. More so, I will like to take some time to research for Myspace and pick up the speed for it. My goal is to make the absolute customized looking Myspace.
Honestly, being not completed both sites Myspace and Movie Obsession site are not fully completed and need to work a lot more, my grade I deserve is B.

MARIA VELOSO – THE SEDUCTION OF THE ONLINE SURFER AND DAVID GARFINKEL – THE MAGICAL POWER OF HEADLINES

When it comes to selling on the Web. Important thing to keep in your mind is to seduce your reader with words and devices. This is called “ a seduction” of sales process. Rather than rushing the reader into buying or committing to your products in short time, bait with them with words and devices to get emotionally involved into your web site. Remember: “People buy on emotion and justify with logic.” To seduce the web visitors like “seamless relay." On the Web site, you don’t start selling the moment your Web visitor arrives. Use “involvement devices” to get people involved with your sales copy.
You can ask the reader to do quiz or comments. “Get them involved” is important step at initial stage. Because, according Robert Gialdini, “Writing is believing.” When you ask your readers to write down (type out), the things they desire, they admit the need for your product or service. The “next big thing” is creating the video presentation for your Web site. This becomes your virtual sales person. “Seducing the online surfer is both art and science that requires the knowledge of consumer psychology as well as an intimacy with the mindset of the Internet population. Involvement devices are simply the catalyst that gets you prospects to respond so that you can start a dialogue and create rapport with them.”

Headline is important. How often you ended up reading article because the headline catches. Advertise experts estimate that between 75 percent and 90 percent of any advertising’s effectiveness come from the headline. It is more effective than text. “With a good headline, you stand a fighting chance of having anything from minimal to overwhelming success. But without a good headline, your chances of success are next to zero.” Headline is not only capture the attention of the web visitors to read text, it also “set the tone” for what prospects are about read and to “create a mood” in the prospect that will begin to make them receptive to taking the action you will eventually invite them to take your sales copy.

MARLON SANDERS BUILDING YOUR OWN BRAND/YANICK SILVER WRITING WEB COPY THAT SELLS

Building online brand is important. Customer loyalty is really built on branding and on building relationship and those two go together. There are several things that are important when it comes to building a bran: Consistency is so important. Good examples are like company Starbucks and books like "for Dummies." They uses same character logo with same color scheme, the same logo everywhere again and again. These company uses our psychological contiguous association to plant their products into our brains. Once you do this, now it is time to market online the right way. Remember the philosophy of "Whatever they're are buying, you're selling." Your job is to not take a product and ram it down peoples' throats. Your job is to find out what people want to buy, and not only allow them to buy it from you, but give them a unique, sustainable advantage for doing so. Concentrate building your relationship with your emails, teleconference calls, in-person contact, and so forth.
Of course, putting up the website for your own business is making a sense for today's online marketing. But it doesn't mean you can sell your products. CREATING MULTIPLE STREAMS OF INCOME ON THE INTERNET AND GUERRILLA MARKETING ONLINE AND OFFLINE

Generating the income from the internet is in now. Old school marketing is well over. Everyone is looking for the way of making the multiple streams of income on the internet. Nowadays online is the most profitable way for launching your business. It may take some time to figure out how, but once you do, you have the best of all worlds. In the past marketing costed us enormous money without any guarantee that it works, when this marketing fails, our damages were big. But now we can do much more effective marketing without costing us fortune by using the internet, like sending out emails. Advantage of this kind of marketing is called fail fast for free. This means you can fail, fail, and fail at no cost until you figured out how to succeed. Very interesting concept but it is true and it works. Another advantage of this kind of marketing is that audiences are not pressured by making commitments to your business right away. They are like in the state of "maybe": this is called the maybe lake. Meanwhile you can offer the free stuffs to audiences and eventually someone will commit and trust you. Over time and eventually they become your customers. Once they are ready to commit with you, don't forget to make USP: U stands for ultimate advantage, "S" stands for sensational offer, and "P" stands for powerful promise. Next you have to make an outrageous offer like "Ginsu knife".

Another strong marketing tactics are called Guerrilla marketing. Once you've gotten a spark of a notion to go online, you have to think how to promote your Web site. So now you have to let people know about your site in offline world and it's got to be teaming with information. This means you've got to live in that online world touting your site on your ads, on stationery and your business cards, on signs and brochures and flyers, in Yellow Pages ads, on ad specialties, on packages or business forms or gift certificates, ads on reprints of PR. And with that promotional encourages people to make a return trip to you
